Meet the Cagle Family
Future Plans
The Cagle family is looking to the future of agri-tourism and the 'back to our roots' movement in this country for developing the two farms' resources.
The River Bend farm has a riverside pavillion that will be a lovely pastoral setting for a country wedding, family reunion or corporate event.
The farm's historic setting lends itself to scout jamborees, Native Peoples gatherings, and artisan/heritage festivals.
What about the Cows?
Both farms will have herds of the Holstein cows that make wholesome Cagle's Dairy milk.
The Hickory Flat processing plant will move to River Bend, and the family plans to add cheese, butter and ice cream to their dairy line.

Fresh Farm Fare
Clayton & Estelle's Market will stay in it's cottage home at the Hickory Flat farm, and a new market will open at River Bend.
It will have a bakery for artisan-type breads and pastries, as well as a country store for local produce, organic vegetables and locally grown meats.

Current owners of Cagle's Dairy Farm(s) are Mark and Kelly Vickery Cagle. Mark is the second son of Albert and Bernese Cagle, and he grew up on the farm in Hickory Flat. He found Kelly at the local bowling alley, and they've been married about 25 years!
Mark's background has been in construction and development, while Kelly is an artist. Their influence at Cagle's Dairy/Hickory Flat has brought about many creative changes that make the farm an exciting place to visit for 'kids' from age two to 92! Recently they have obtained a lease/purchase agreement on a 241 acre farm on a bend of the Coosawattee River near Resaca in Gordon County, Georgia.
Cagle's Dairy Farm in Resaca, GA
Cagle's Dairy at 'River Bend' opens the world's largest cornfield maze this fall—56 acres of corn cut into six connecting mazes! It promises to be spectacular! Design themes will echo local history this year, commemorating the "Trail of Tears" (Cherokee removal from Georgia to Indian Territory in 1838) and the Civil War.
The New Generation
Curtis Cagle, oldest son of Mark and Kelly, and his new bride, Dayana, live nearby where Curtis is in landscaping. Second son Ben Cagle attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, and now works at the farm with his fiancee, Vicki Fann. Ben does tours with his Border Collie, Tib, and generally oversees management of Cagles Dairy/Hickory Flat. Levi Cagle is at Young Harris College studying business and marketing. Young Hannah Cagle is a senior in high school.
